Tasks
Welcome.
Car Park Captain
Arrives in time to encourage considerate parking and safety of pedestrians.
Driver / Chaperone
Collects audience members unable to reach us under their own steam.
Host
Welcomes arrivals and helps them have their QR code ready to be scanned. At the end of the show helps reuniting coats and umbrellas with owners.
Ticket Control
Scans visitors tickets or sells them a seat if no advanced reservation made.
Raffle Sales
Sells tickets as audience enter and during the interval. Optionally, draws the raffle at the end of the interval.
Usher
Helps visitors find their seats, lavatories, and catering tables.
Catering Crew
Lay out the wares then help visitors wanting drinks, Ice cream, and cake etc. At the and of the show, clean and pack it all away.
Cocktail Mixer
Invents (or copies) cocktail and non-alcoholic mocktails, buys the ingredients, then supplies those wanting a treat.
Pâtissier
Creates film themed baked goods. Ingredients are reimbursed.
Floor Manager
Has an eye on the show as a whole, detects and resolves issues. May need to step in when there is no volunteer for a particular role.
Projectionist
Takes care of all technical aspects of a show - lighting, sound, ticket desk computers (including preparing them in the days before a show).
Photographer
Images (still or video) of our events enable us to remember the good times. The best shots are uploaded to a Facebook Album the day after a show.
Feedback Finder
We can only adhere to our motto (every show a little better) if someone finds out what visitors would appreciate adding to or changing in our shows. The Feedback Finder is the person that asks the questions that drive us forward to a better tomorrow.
First Aider
Someone to take control should an incident occur. Needs to have received formal training and maintain refresher programmes.
Master of Ceremonies
Having someone introduce the show is part of what sets us apart. This may bring little known facts about the up-coming film to our attention, or may introduce a live performer when that fits with the theme of the day.
Furniture Setting
At least an hour before doors open, we need the screens and tables and chairs laid out to the pattern in the diagram that the Floor Manager provides. After the show everything needs to be dismantled and returned to storage. May help with transforming the ticket desk into a discussion group forum during the interval.
