Les Vacances de Monsieur Hulot (1953)

With so many competing attractions this old black and white film could only encourage 35 people to view it. A few new visitors really seemed to enjoy themselves. A silver lining to the low attendance was that your correspondent was able to enjoy a slice of the Late Summer Plum Cake and found it lick smackingly good.

With severely limited volunteers there were no photos or feedback but the evening progressed well.

Unusually there were more Zoom participants in the discussion group than local. The consensus seemed to be that the film was good in its day but expectations have increased in the last 67 years and there are few moments in the film that raise a smile now.
