Rusthall Community Cinema
Films we all choose, watch, then discuss. A charitable entertainment hub run by volunteers.

Floor Manager

On the morning of the show the Welcome banner is put up outside the hall using metal stakes stored at the rear of the hall by the chairs. Once the hall is clear of other hirers the ice creme should be loaded into the freezer.

At 5.30pm the hall is unlocked for hall dressers and caterers. Take the poster off the ATM wall and load into the A frame at the hall inviting visitors to wait for 7pm then place that outside. Cleanliness is confirmed, curtains and shuters drawn, sufficient paper placed in the toilets.

As volunteers arrive make sure they have all they need to do their jobs.  The key part of this job is to look for potential issues and address them before they become problems.  To do this all other roles must be fully understood.  As audience arrive greet them - ideally by name.

At show time make sure the toilet and kitchen lights are out and introduce the MC for the evening.

At the end of the show, on their way out, thank audience for coming and encourage participation at the discussion group. Start the clean up by moving the screens around the discussion group and making other actions as quiet as possible.

Take cash and laptop away then lock up the hall.
